We packed up, Tim got the car, and we checked out with
Jerome. We headed north, first to a
small scenic town, Morderuc for a photo stop as recommended by Emilie.

Then we drove on north to Cancale and walked to a lookout
point. We could barely see Le Mont St.
Michel in the distance across the bay.
We walked around the town a while and had a coffee and pastry. Then we began driving toward Saint Malo. We had visited there yesterday so we bypassed
it today.
We headed instead to Cap Frehel which was out on a long
point in the bay with a huge lighthouse.
The cliffs were spectacular and there were small yellow flowers on the
evergreen bushes. We had a nice walk out
to the point overlooking the sea, where there obviously was a garrison during
the war.

We then headed west to Trelevern, a small town just south of
Perros Guirec. We stopped along the way
at a restaurant for lunch and had a huge lunch with an appetizer, main course,
cheese, dessert, wine, water and coffee for 12 euros each. Not the most flavorful but filling.

I took a much needed nap and rested by sore feet while Tim
used the living room. We left at 7:40
for the 10 minute ride into Perros Guirec for dinner. We ate at La Cremaillere and it was
delicious. We started with a vodka shot,
followed by huge oysters for Tim and fish soup for me. Tim had the bar fish and I had a brochette of
shrimp and scallops. With a bottle of
Sancerre. Followed by an apple soufflé,
calvados and coffee. We talked to 4
women from Atlanta and had fun.
Drove back to the castle B&B about 11:30 and went
straight to bed. It is COLD in the
castle tonight.
