We got up at 7:30, showered and went to breakfast at 8:30 am.
We left Dinan at 9:30 and headed to Rennes. Rennes is a large city with lots of shopping. It had a street of beautiful half-timbered buildings. We were a bit disappointed as there was not much else to see.

At 11:30 headed back to Dinan but instead went to St.
Malo. Beautiful walled city. Walked around the inside and on the
ramparts. At 1 pm we stopped for lunch
at The Unicorn Restaurant and we both had moules-frites and a sugar crepe with
a bottle of Bordeaux red wine. Delicious
1.5 hour lunch sitting outside in the sun.

We then headed back to Dinan and finally found the car park
for the car for the night. It was a nice
facility and not too far from the B&B.
The indoor parking is included with the room. I took a nap and then we walked around Dinan
to see the sights. It is a beautiful
walled city but we couldn’t find a way to walk on the ramparts. We bought a couple of bottles of wine and Tim
bought a sailor’s shirt during our city walk.

We enjoyed one bottle of the wine in the sitting area at the
B&B. It was a nice St Emilion which
is one of our favorites.
Tonight we enjoyed a table d’hote at the B&B at 7:30
cooked by Jerome and Stefan. We had a huge
salad with greens, chicken, and cheese. This
was followed with salmon with Indian spices in aluminum foil – it was so moist
and good. Then there was a cheese course
followed by a local dessert with salted-caramel ice cream. And our dinner was of course accompanied by a
bottle of Bordeaux wine. It was all too
much to eat but very delicious. It was
fun having a new experience with the table d’hote.
We went to bed and read for a while about 9:30. Tomorrow is another travel day to the
north-west corner of Brittany.
